See what changed before you re-import
Edited or rebuilt a Housecall Pro price book outside of HCP? Compare your original export against the file you are about to import. ImportFix shows what was added, removed, and changed — and separates risky changes from harmless ones — before Housecall Pro ever sees it. What it flags
- Blockers — rows that are not import-ready (missing Industry/Category/Name, item names over 190 characters, hidden characters).
- Risky changes — a lost or changed HCP uuid (breaks the link to an existing item), a zeroed price or cost, an Industry/Category/Subcategory change, removed rows, or a suspicious mass change.
- Data-quality warnings — things worth a look, like duplicate names or negative values.
- Safe changes — ordinary name/description edits and new rows.
Why compare first?
Housecall Pro has its own importer and validation, but it can only check the file you give it — it can’t tell you that an edit accidentally zeroed 40 prices, dropped a column of custom data, or removed the uuid that links a service to its history.
