For Housecall Pro consultants and implementers

Add a repeatable QA step before a client price-book handoff

ImportFix compares the untouched original with the edited CSV/XLSX in the browser, separates risky changes from ordinary edits, and gives you a deterministic pre-import check without connecting to the client's Housecall Pro account.

A reusable client workflow

1

Keep the untouched original

Preserve the client export before any cleanup, rebuild, or bulk pricing work.

2

Compare the edited file

Surface removed rows, dropped columns, changed identifiers, zeroed prices, category changes, and other risky edits.

3

Review ambiguous changes

Leave business decisions such as missing categories, industries, identifiers, or prices to a human.

4

Run the final preflight

Validate supported file and row-level issues, apply deterministic repairs, and prepare the corrected output.

High-risk examples

  • Price or cost changed to blank or zero.
  • A uuid or other identifier was lost or changed.
  • A column disappeared between versions.
  • Industry, category, or subcategory changed unexpectedly.
  • Rows were removed or a suspicious mass change occurred.

What the tool refuses to guess

  • A missing business category or industry.
  • A missing item name, identifier, or intended price.
  • Which conflicting duplicate represents the client's intended service.
  • Whether a commercially unusual price change was intentional.

Privacy for client files

The scan, comparison, and findings preview process price-book rows in the browser. The client does not need to connect a Housecall Pro account or share an API key with ImportFix. Standard website, analytics, and checkout requests can still occur; the price-book rows are not sent to an ImportFix analysis server for the comparison.

How pricing works today

The Change Audit and findings preview are free. A corrected-file download is a one-time purchase: $29 for the standard tier or $49 for the large-file tier. ImportFix does not currently claim a consultant subscription, team workspace, white-label plan, or partner discount.

FAQ

Can I use the workflow for more than one client?
Yes. The file-checking workflow can be repeated across client projects. Each paid corrected-file unlock is currently a one-time purchase.
Do I need access to the client’s Housecall Pro account?
No. ImportFix works with the exported and edited CSV/XLSX files and does not require a Housecall Pro login or API key.
Does ImportFix guarantee the client file will import successfully?
No. It checks supported file and data issues and surfaces risky changes, but Housecall Pro can still reject a file for account-specific, platform-side, or unsupported reasons.
Is ImportFix a Housecall Pro partner or integration?
No. ImportFix is an independent tool and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Housecall Pro.
