Does Housecall Pro have a Price Book API?

Yes. Housecall Pro documents Price Book endpoints for services, materials, and material categories. Access depends on whether you are a MAX/XL Pro using an API key or a verified Integration Partner using OAuth.

The short answer

Housecall Pro's public API documentation includes read access to Price Book services, materials, and material categories. Housecall Pro says Pros on MAX or XL can build custom integrations with API keys, while verified Integration Partners authenticate customers with OAuth 2.0.

What Price Book data is useful for QA?

The documented service response includes fields such as UUID, name, description, price, cost, taxable state, unit of measure, category, and industry. Material data includes stable identifiers, category information, name, description, cost, price, unit of measure, part number, and taxable state. Those fields are enough to support a useful read-only audit layer.

What ImportFix does today

ImportFix does not currently connect to a Housecall Pro account. The production product works with CSV and Excel files and can compare an untouched export with an edited version before reimport. No Housecall Pro login or API key is required for the current product.

The integration path under evaluation

ImportFix has submitted an Integration Partner request to Housecall Pro. The proposed first integration is deliberately read only: authorize access, read relevant Price Book data, run the existing QA rules, and show findings. Automatic write-back is not part of the proposed v1.

A local proof of concept already confirms that Housecall Pro service snapshots can be projected into the same normalized validation model used by ImportFix's file workflow. Production OAuth, token storage, scheduled scans, and customer-facing API claims remain out of scope until an authorized access path exists.

If you need this today

If you are a Housecall Pro customer on an eligible plan and need a custom integration, review Housecall Pro's current API documentation and API-key guidance. If your immediate goal is to inspect an edited price-book file before reimport, use the existing file-based workflow instead.

FAQ

Does ImportFix currently connect to Housecall Pro?
No. The current production product works with CSV and Excel files and does not require a Housecall Pro login or API key.
Would the planned integration change data in Housecall Pro?
Not in the proposed first version. The current integration direction is read only so users can review findings before deciding what to change.
Can any Housecall Pro customer create an API key?
Housecall Pro currently states that API access for Pros is available on eligible MAX or XL plans. Check the current Housecall Pro documentation before relying on plan availability.
Is ImportFix already a Housecall Pro Integration Partner?
No. ImportFix has submitted an Integration Partner request, but no partnership or endorsement is claimed unless Housecall Pro explicitly approves it.

ImportFix is independent and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Housecall Pro. API capabilities and plan availability can change, so official Housecall Pro documentation controls.

Edited a price-book file already?

Compare the original and edited CSV/XLSX first, then scan the final file for supported import issues. No account or Housecall Pro API key required.
